TWO BOZZUTO COMMUNITIES RECOGNIZED AS “BEST OF THE BEST” AT NAHB’S PILLARS OF THE INDUSTRY AWARDS GALA 

The Bozzuto Group Wins Top Honors in High-Rise and Garden Apartment Categories

Greenbelt, MD…..Two apartment communities developed and managed by The Bozzuto Group---one urban and one suburban---have been recognized as the “best of the best” by the National Association of Home Builders at this year’s Pillars of the Industry Awards gala held in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Considered the most prestigious national awards in the multifamily residential industry, the Pillars Awards honor “excellence in apartment and condo design, development, marketing and management,” and serve as a showcase of future trends and innovation.

Spinnaker Bay Waterfront Apartment Homes, located in Baltimore, MD, was named “Best High-Rise Rental Apartment (9 stories and above).” The Bozzuto Group developed the community in joint venture with H&S Properties Development Corporation. Located on a spectacular site overlooking the harbor, the 316-unit apartment community is part of the Spinnaker Bay mixed-use development. Amenities and services include a spa-like terrace with a pool, spa and striking fountain atop the eighth floor; a Clubroom with a large, flat-screen TV and catering kitchen; a club-like fitness center; a well-equipped business center with a conference area; concierge services; and a 24-hour front desk. The apartment homes range in size from approximately 665 square feet to 1,675 square feet, and a few of the largest offer two-level duplex-style plans.

The Hawthorne at Gillette Ridge was named “Best Garden Rental Apartment Community (4 stories and under)/Secondary Market.” Located in Bloomfield, CT, the community was developed in joint venture with CIGNA and is situated on CIGNA’s corporate campus. The Hawthorne offers 246 residences in 10 three-story buildings. Amenities include a Clubhouse with an elegant, European-inspired Great Room, a Fitness Center with convenient locker room/dressing areas, and a Business Center; an expansive terrace with an outdoor fireplace and swimming pool; an outdoor sports quad and a tot lot. The apartment residences range in size from approximately 675 square feet to 1,500 square feet.
